Show Rules

The following rules apply to the UAC Dog Show:

  • Dogs are entered and exhibited entirely at the owner’s risk.
  • Owner must ensure that the dog is at all times properly secured by a lead or leash.
  • Lead or leash must at all times be hand-held.
  • Owner is fully responsible for the dog’s safety and behavior at all times.
  • Owners accept personal liability in respect of any claim made in respect of any damage or injury caused by the dog.
  • Owners acknowledge that their dog has the ability to cause harm to other dogs, persons or property at the show.
  • Owners indemnify UAC, the affiliated person/s or businesses conducting this Show, against any and all claims of what-so-ever nature and howsoever arising that may be leveled against them, jointly or severally, in respect of any harm caused by my dog and/or any failure on my part adequately to control the dog.
  • Owner is fully responsible and liable for any harm caused to any person, animal or property arising out of any action by any minor child for whom the owner is legally responsible by allowing them to handle the owner’s dog or any other dog.

Event Rules

The UAC Dog Show is held at the annual Amaizing Pet Adventure and PAWS Adoptathon each fall. In addition to the show rules, owners are required to follow these rules for the hosting event:

  • Every effort is being made to make this a safe, enjoyable and memorable event, however the sponsors and all affiliates involved in this event are not liable for accidents, thefts, and/or material damage.
  • The Amaizing Pet Adventure, sponsors or affiliates are not responsible for any and all liabilities of any nature, for injury or damage which you, your family, or your dog may suffer, including specifically, but without limitation any injury or damage resulting from the action of any dog.
  • All dogs at the event MUST be spayed or neutered.
  • For your dog’s protection and all the dogs at the event, all dogs must be current on vaccinations.
  • ALL DOGS MUST REMAIN ON-LEASH AT ALL TIMES. No retractable leashes allowed.
  • Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult and are not to walk dogs in the event.
  • Parents must supervise their children closely. PARENTS MUST INSIST THEIR CHILDREN ASK PERMISSION OF THE OWNER OF ANY DOG THEY WISH TO PET.
  • Always leave plenty of SPACE, between your dog and all other dogs when walking around, watching or participating in any of the Amaizing Pet events. Some dogs will not tolerate being crowded or having their personal space invaded. We want all the dogs to have a wonderful day out. A wagging tail has many meanings in the canine language. It does not guarantee friendliness.
  • Please use the doggie restroom area to relieve your dog. There are bags there to pick up the poop, just look for the Poop Stations.
  • To relax your dog if it appears nervous, simply give it a job. Ask it to SIT, then praise/reward.
  • The Amaizing Pet Adventure reserves the right to refuse entry to any party/person or animal.
  • The Amaizing Pet Adventure retains the right to remove any person or persons and/or any animal from the premises.
